  1. Ladies and Gentleman, We Have a Tie!

After 11 races and all the crashes, car changes, team shake ups and internet explosions it was necessary to use the second tie breaker, number of second place finishes, to crown Fordv2 "GASCAR Winter 2010 Champion".

The race miraculously started, nearly, on time which meant something odd was afoot for the GASCAR season finale held at world famous Mugello in Italy. At the off the Lambos from RagnarokCow stormed to the front with the field following closely behind. There was a stumble by SuperDemonCow, who had championship hopes at the start of the race, on lap four which bunched up the field. Heading up the hill on the back side of the track, he and Mini tangled bringing out the races only caution.

During the caution the internet went haywire and TopFuel lagged out just as the field was preparing to go green to start lap 5. Ford and Mini ducked into the pits. Shortly thereafter, the decision was made to return to the lobby and pick Top back up and have a 15 lap race.

After the restart the Lambos went back to the front with Viking chasing after them. Top, Ford and Mini were duking it out for fourth.

As the leaders made their mandatory stops, Ford and Mini moved toward the front keeping Super, the leader, in their sights. He pitted on lap 11 giving the lead to Mini. Mini's silver RX-8 maintained the lead through handling but Ford's Supra managed to get around Mini long enough to lead a lap. Meanwhile, Viking was charging through the field hoping to catch up or that Ford would mess up.

Mini held off Ford after giving him a little nudge in the next to last set of corners on lap fifteen. That was enough to give Mini his second win of the season. Ford's leading one lap was enough to force the aforementioned tie.

Congratulations to Ford for his championship. And to FordFuel racing for taking the constructor's championship. Well done to all the drivers for making this an exciting season.

    Stay tuned for Spring 2011.
