Interview with the Champion

GASCAR: hello?

Ford: hi

GASCAR: How does it feel to win the GASCAR Championship?

Ford: feels great

GASCAR: this is your interview, more detailed answers please

Ford: feels like a giant weight has been taken off my shoulders, like ive done something amazing with my life, lol

GASCAR: Well that would be a first, now we don't have to give you that charity fluke that was your first championship

Ford: hahaha fuck you, did you finish second?

Viking: yeah

Ford: hows it feel to finish second to me twice, lol

GASCAR: I'm asking the questions here sir

Ford: lol

GASCAR: Do you have anything to say about your teammate, Top, and his contribution this season?

Ford: Top has been a great teammate and gives great vocal feedback on the develpoment of owr cars,  cant wait for next season and see if we can finish one and 2

GASCAR: Seeing as you have now won the GASCAR championship do you really have any goals left in life? or would suicide be an option cause it can only go downhill from here?

Ford: no, i wanna go for 3

GASCAR: I thought we just decided your first one doesn't count anymore

Ford: no, it does. Stop making me look bad in my interview dickhead

GASCAR: What do you attribute your massive improvement over the last two seasons too, considering you hadn't won a road race during the first 3 seasons?

Ford: I think it has to be the cars, I've just had better cars to drive and I've learned to settle down and take my time

GASCAR: How would you feel if I edited this part of the conversation to say that you thought everyone else has got worse?

Ford: No

GASCAR: So have you used "I'm the GASCAR champion" as a pickup line yet? and what were the results?

Ford: No, and I'd say I'm the gascar champion bitch

GASCAR: This is suppose to be a pick up line, your not going to rape them

Ford: lol

GASCAR: Since I asked this question to Top last year, who would you rather leave your girlfriend alone in a room with, Ben Roethlisberger or Kobe Bryant?
(silence)

GASCAR: hello?

Ford: Kobe

Nurburgring GP Recap

GASCAR went to the Germany this week to celebrate with the newest 'Weltmiester' Sebastien Vettel.  Vettel, unfortunately, was unable to make the race. Ford enter the race with a commanding lead in the points along with a hope of locking up the championship with the double points.  Everyone was clustered in a group behind Ford hoping for a chance to chip away at his lead. The race started off eventfully enough with the first caution coming out on lap 2 after Top got into Ford causing no damage to either car.  Top, Mini, and Viking snuck into the pits as the race went green, and then yellow, allowing them to jump onto the bumpers of the leaders.  The race went green again with Super in the lead followed by Bad, Ford, Viking, Mini, and Top.  Top timed the restarted an went through a hole to get to first by the corner. Then the third caution came out.  Ford pitted as we went green and when in a deep hole back in 7th, after DJ broke, and needed some serious help to save his lead.  Viking, Top, and Mini battled for awhile at the top with Viking separated himself from the field with the most dominant car.  However Super had fallen back to Ford and together they were able to manufacture a caution to regrouping the field with 8 laps to go.  Viking got a great jump off the restart and was able to jump to a safe distance.  Top and Mini held the next two positions with Proof having jumped to 4th.  Ford trailed in 5th with Super behind him with a few laps to go.  The last few laps were very dicey in the back with Ford trying to scavenge whatever point he could.  Ford got around Proof but by this time Super had caught them.  No one with really sure what happened after that, but Proof was spun by Ford and Super took 4th.  Will Proof exact revenge on Ford? The Viking drove away and won be a comfortable 15 seconds followed by Top and Mini rounding out the podium.  Super lead the second pack with Ford, Proof, and Bad trailing. Ford's lead in the points is now just 3 over Viking with a cluster still within striking distance but needing some help.  The next race, was scheduled for Camino Viejo Extreme has been switched to Tsukuba after a unanimous vote from the team captains.

Breaking News

Tsukuba will take the place of Camino Viejo Extreme Reverse. There will be an off week and the race will be Friday December 3rd.

Sunset Peninsula Infield

After a typical GASCAR first start cluster which saw Hulking Spoon put Super into a doo hickie, Top lose control and tap MINI thus creating a two car road block for FORD the race was restarted and calmer heads prevailed on the second green flag.

A four car pack of Viking, Top, Ford and Super quickly formed with some battling that the crowd thought was sure to bring out a caution. However they sorted themselves out and the race settled down with six different drivers leading a lap through competition and pit stops.

Hulking created some needed excitement to an otherwise boring race as he was used as a pick by the leaders on three different occasions. Ford and Viking battled some but mostly tried to catch Top who used his ridiculous amount of PI to his advantage on the oval portion of the course. DJ, subbing for Vette, was ready to pounce if any of the top four faltered but his lack of top end speed kept him out of striking distance. Vinny soldiered on to sixth and MINI had a thoroughly unspectacular race and tried to talk Hulking into flipping his car to bring out a caution.

Ford's third place finish created a 14 point gap with two races to go. With next week's race at the Nurburgring paying double points, Ford could wrap up the title with a second place finish. Other complicated scenarios exist as well but I was told there would be no math. There is a log jog with Vette, MINI and Viking for third place with Super only one point ahead. Top is not mathematically eliminated but we would need a win and a poor showing by Ford this week.

The burning questions as GASCAR heads to Germany: Can Ford hold his mud and race at the front? Will team orders come into play for FordFuel Racing? Will Viking play dirty?

Stay tuned race fans. This could get ugly.

Road America

GASCAR returned to Road America for their annual visit last night. Super and Proof started out front in the Lambo's and drove away from the field stretching away by at least a second a lap.  Further back a tight battle was taking place between Ford, Mini, Viking, and DJ (filling in for Top). 3rd position was swapped multiple time and there was never more than a second between the 4 cars early.  Vinny lagged out early and Vette didn't make the race.  Then, the inevitable happened.  Proof crashed his car going into turn 1 and damaged it to the point to take himself out of contention.  A few laps later, Super exited the pits and Viking just barely beat him into turn 1 to hoping to lead lap.  Super used the Lambo's speed to pass him on the backstretch but Viking shot out of the last corner and beat him to the line by 23 ft, then lag cause Super's car to explode in the middle of the frontstretch ending his race.  After the rest of the pit stops, every one had led a lap and DJ had first, followed by Ford, Viking, Mini, Super, and Proof, respectively.  As the laps closed, Viking shrunk the gap between him and Ford from 6 seconds to one second. Team orders kicked in for FordFuel Racing and Ford forced DJ to give up first.  Starting the last lap, Viking had a huge run out of the corner and was only a half second behind the lead when DJ blocked him up the hill and destroyed his forward momentum.  The race ended in that order.

Maple Valley

Internet explodes dropping Viking from 2nd to fifth. Proof didn't show and Bad got him a point.  Viking ran into Bad bringing out the first caution.  Top and Mini then collide on the restart for the second caution.  During the fourth stint, Mini ran into the back of Ford after Ford got lose coming down hill.

Goldline GP at Mazda Laguna Seca

GASCAR returned Friday night after a nearly 5 month layoff to an outstanding double points race except for a few rather major exceptions. The race kicked off and abruptly ended after a 6 car pileup wreaked havoc, though Proof was able to secure the holeshot and the lead lap bonus. The second start was much smoother with the first five laps lead by Ford and Proof before a caution was thrown for a accident between Mini and Viking.  Proof led the field back to the green (as Mini and Viking took advantage of pitting while the field was slow) with what appeared to be the dominant car.  Over the next 20 laps, the rest of the field went into the pits except for Vette.  Even though Proof was running the fastest laps Viking was able to get on his bumper because of the pit strategy, this then brought out the third caution of the race (which was then red flagged while someone had to piss).  Vette had to surrender the lead and pit as the field went green all but destroying his chance to win.  On the restart, Proof drove away but had a big off allowing Top and Viking to get around him.  Proof regrouped and chased down the front two.  Coming across the line with 4 laps to go, Top's driveshaft exploded catching a pothole and catapulting (Mythbusters proved this can happen) himself, Viking, and Proof down the track destroying all three cars.  After the three cars were flipped over and Viking was cleaned off the track the race began again with Ford leading Super, Mini, Vinny, and Vette all with a renewed chance of winning.  In the 4 lap sprint Vette worked around the group and secured the lead. The race on the last lap was for second, going into the final corner Ford made some space for himself nearly spinning Mini in the process.  The final results were:
1st - Vette
2nd - Ford
3rd - Mini
4th - Super
5th - Vinny
6th - Proof
7th - Top
8th - Viking

Select Your Season - Edited 8-16

Looking at Sept. 4th to be the start of the season, tell me if that doesn't work for you. The track hasn't been determined yet but you can vote for the tracks that will be used this season in the poll above.  Please select one track and don't vote for one that has already been voted for because you'd be wasting a vote.  Don't fuck it up.  There will be 8 races each driver gets to host one race.  There will also be 2 "Majors" this season where the points will be doubled.  The majors will be Mazda Laguna Seca and Nurburgring GP Circuit.

Newest Ideas (Edited 7/28)

The rules as of now:
C-Class
Must be RWD
Must be weigh more than 2300lbs
thats all (for now).

Teams as of now:
FordFuel Racing (Ford and Top)
MiniBals Motorsports (Viking and Mini)
Yet to be Named (Proof and Super)
Obviously two spots are still available.  Someone make a team and tell me.

Points:
1st - 7 Points
2nd - 6
3rd - 5
4th - 4
5th - 3
6th - 2
7th -1
8th - 0

Banned Cars:
This will take some testing, since all of the leaderboard cars are AWD we might actually be able to run them and still have competitive racing.  Right now though the rule will be.  If there is one in the top 50 on the leaderboard for Laguna Seca or at Road America it can not be used.

Cars:
Teammates must use same car.
Team is allowed to change cars twice during the season.
Once one team has claimed 'dibs' on a car that car is there and can only be run by them.

Handicapping:
I like Proof's idea but gonna make it a little bigger difference
1st - minus 20
2nd - minus 10
3rd - minus 5
4th and 5th - even
6th - plus 5
7th - plus 10
8th - plus 15

All this is subject to change as I see fit.

Chevyracing09 Oval Spectacular (EDITED)

The Chevyracing09 spectatcular (thanks to a handsome donation of 1 million credits) will take place Fri. April 30th at 11 EST, 10 CST, 9 MTN, 8 PAC. The race will be stock Aston Martin #007 DBR9's around Sunset Peninsula for 50 laps with cautions.
The current drivers are
Ford - $500,000 (unable to race) (now able to race)
Viking - $400,000
Pub - $350,000
Top - $300,000
DJ - $1,000,000
Mini - $250,000
Proof - $200,001
Bad - ????????
_____________
= 3,000,001
+1,000,000
_________
=4,000,001

There is obviously 1 (1) more spot available and I'm gonna require at least a $100,000 Cr bid to get it and be able to win the money and if that spot fill the person with the lowest bid can get kicked out if the bids go higher.

Official Teabagging Rules

I have resurrected the official teabagging rules from the SaD bungie.net group in their original form. To make them relevant to Forza replace "teabag" with "taunt".

Official Teabagging Rules [edit]
Posted by Anonymous User (Deleted) at 9/30/2008 10:56 AM PDT
Teabagging - the process of standing over another player after they have died and "crouching" or "kneeling" to resemble a teabag motion.

Official Rules
1. Thou shalt not teabag unless thou hast been teabagged.

2. Thou shalt not teabag when losing by more then 10 kills.

3. Exception to Rule 1 - Thou shalt teabag douschebags. Repeatedly.

4. Thou shalt not teabag teammates.

5. Exception to all rules - thou can teabag anyone with hayabusa armor.

6. Teabagging of recon will NOT be tolerated no matter how great the oppurtunity maybe.

Interview with the Champion

Ignore the fact that this interview is about 2 weeks late.

GASCAR: How does it feel to win the GASCAR championship?

Top: "It is fucking awesome because i pwn."

GASCAR: What are your goals for life now that you got your greatest accomplishment in your life outta the way already?

Top: "to become gascars first back to back champion"

GASCAR: and how do you feel about your new teammate ford, isn't obviously going to hold you back?

Top: "somewhat but he will also hold the rest of you back"

GASCAR: and for the final, completely relevant, question. If you had to lock your girlfriend in a room with either Ben Roethlisberger or Kobe Bryant who do you choose?

(silence...)

are you going to answer the question?

(more silence...)

Top: "kobe"

New Idea

The new idea is to run C class cars and to eliminate super overpowered giants we'll require the cars to have a 4 cylinder. This will also require the minimum weight limit to be moved down to 2000lbsish. Post ideas below.

Kick-ass GP at Nurburgring

GASCAR has a new champion in Top Fuel Man, after he claimed his 5th win of the season in Germany Friday night. At the beginning of the race, there was an accident between Viking and Proof. In the aftermath, Viking slid across the track into oncoming traffic leaving Top Fuel's only competition severely crippled. There was good racing in the middle of the pack but Top had the points locked down, but the win was still up for grabs. DJ again subbing for Bad, slowly reeled in Top and with 2 laps to go was riding his bumper when disaster struck. Lag caused DJ to total his car finish in last. Top Fuel finished the race in 1st claiming his 5th win of the 10 race season and dominating the final points standings. The only moment in the points after the last race is Ford falling off the podium and Super finishing his strong rookie showing in 3rd.

Finishing Order:
1st - Top*
2nd - Viking
3rd - Super
4th - Mini*
5th - Proof
6th - DJ
7th - Ford
8th - Roadie

Tsukuba

Tsukuba was a surprisingly uneventful race with only one caution considering the size of the track, well any race that Ford participates in and there is only one caution would be surprising. At the beginning of the race, two distinct pack formed with Viking, Top, and DJ in the lead group with everyone else in another group a little further back. During the first half of the race, most people got their pit stops outta the way except DJ and Viking which proved to be a costly decision for both of them. A caution came out about half way through when Super's batteries died forcing DJ and Viking to pit and be in the back of the pack. DJ was caught up in an accident that damaged his car enough to remove any chance he had of winning. Viking was able to get up front and race with both Proof and Top for a awhile swapping the lead between each other until having a run in going into turn 1 and dropping to 5th. Considering the style of racing Viking pitted for fresh tires and dropped to 6th hoping for a caution and a gigantic advantage off the restart. That caution never came though and Top was able to hold on for his 4th win of the season closely followed by Proof. DJ in his damaged car was eventually able to get around Mini for 3rd and 4th respectively. Ford took 5th followed by Viking and Super.

Finish results
1st - Top* - 10
2nd - Proof* - 8
3rd - DJ* - 7
4th - Mini - 5
5th - Ford - 4
6th - Viking* - 4

Road America

Now that we've had are fun are Ford's expense the real update. Road America was two men short as Mini and Ford were unable to run. Ford had a previous agreement to gain the points Proof gained. At the start of the race, coming outta turn 2 Proof ran into someone the for the first of many times, spinning Roadie out who was collected by Bad. This brought out the first wreck, Viking took the lead and held it for a few laps until going off and getting passed by Super and Proof. Viking raced back up to Super and bumped each other a few times letting Proof create a 3 car race. After some more bumping, Proof and Viking would let Super get away and run each other off track. A few laps later, Proof was distracted and him and Viking went off in turn 1 bringing out the last caution. Everyone was about 14 laps in from there last pit stop. Roadie, Top, Super, and Viking went toward pit road. However, Roadie, Top, and Super all had the same idea to stay out. With 2 laps to go, Super lead Top, Roadie, Proof, Bad, and then Viking the only one with fresh tires. Off the start, Viking was able to take advantage of the fresh tires are start working there the field. Roadie went off the track on the last restart and damaged Super when rejoining the field, Super then retaliated by severely damaging Roadie. Top was then able to take the lead for the first time. Viking managed to get through the rest of the field but Top was too far off once he got there and went on to win his third race of the season. Roadie unhappy with Super stopped and waited for him and wreck Super at the end of the race who dropped back to 5th.

Finishing Order
1st - Top*
2nd - Viking*
3rd - Bad
4th - Proof
5th - Super*
6th - Roadie*

Week 7: Sunset Infield

Lots of words in this update, you guys can suck it.
Sunset has always been a driver favorite, except tonight. The track was attempting to give Darlington a run for her money. On the first lap, the Proof the leader flipped when clipping a curb bringing out the first caution and a restart. Try #2 brought out another caution after a melee ensued in an attempt to avoid a smaller melee, some words were exchange but nothing outta the usual. 3rd times the charge tho, well sorta except Proof who wreck then managed to barrel into the pit entrance all but ending his night. Two groups then formed on the track, because of different fuel strategies. In the middle of the race, Bad brought out a caution after Sunset flipped him in the same spot as Proof. Under caution, Top disappeared because of lag shortly followed by Super. Caution was thrown and driver collected for a final 17 lap sprint. Roadie, Viking, and Ford broke away from pack. An intense 3 car battle followed. Ford hit a couple corners bad and had to race Top. At this point, Top lagged out helping to slow Ford down even more and eventually Ford was damaged. Nearing the last few laps, Viking and Roadie swapped the lead bout 5 times and Ford fell into the clutchs of Super. On the final lap, Viking couldn't quite catch up to Roadie finishing a few tenths outta the lead. Ford meanwhile fell back to Super and something happen (I don't know) but couldn't get around him and take the overall points lead.

P.S. The points can best be described as a "clusterfuck" with half the field tied for the lead.

1st - Roadie* 10 (-10)
2nd - Viking* 8(-5)
3rd - Ford 6
4th - Super* 6
5th - Mini* 5
6th - Top 3
6th - Proof 3 (+5)
7th - Bad* 3 (+10)

P.S.S. There are only three races left in the season.
Road America, TBD, and Nurburgring GP

Iberian

Early cautions collected and damaged a number of competitors including Proof, Top, and Ford. After a late caution, the was brought together one last time. At the mid-race point Ford lagged out while running in 4th. He will be given half the distance between his position at lag out and last. However, since he was running in 4th he will not be given the P.I. bonus for 6th. Going into turn one Mini made a pass to move onto the podium. At the end of a caution riddled race Super was able to complete a last lap pass winning his second race in a row after Viking got loose coming out of turn 1.

Nurburgring GP Recap

Nurburgring provided the intensity and fun that we all remembered it to have. The race was filled with many tight battle throughout the race. After an early wreck brought out the caution Super turned around and drove into the pits it what would prove to be a very good decision. Near the end of the race, Super was still leading the race after being the only one to pit before the caution came out. After a mistake in the third to last corner, Viking gave up the chance to win the race and Super went on to win his first GASCAR race ever. Some more happened in the back but i didn't really see any of it and don't remember.

BREAKING NEWS

Ford admitted that his car for his win in the first race of the season was underweight. The official ruling to come for the czar is that that Ford is allowed to keep his points from the race however, HIS WIN WILL BE DISALLOW. Repeat, Ford now has 0 wins in GASCAR.

Suzuka East

GASCAR returns again from another extended break and now hopes to follow a more regular schedule. The race was the first short track race of the season at Suzuka East. The race started exciting enough. After, one lap Viking had a solid lead and Ford had run into the wall. Ford got his first pit stop outta the way earlier after the wreck. On lap 9, Mini had a single car rollover bringing out the automatic caution and ducked into the pits under caution. Going back under green, Viking continued to lead with Top and Roadie following close behind. Green flag pits began around lap 30 when Viking dove into pit lane at the last second with Top swiping the wall in his attempt to follow. After the pit stops cycled through, Ford with his early stop held a commanding lead followed by Viking, Roadie, and Top. Proof fed up his over steering Porsche broke off his front splitter in an attempt to create some understeer. As the laps closed, Fords lead began to shrink in his attempt to win his first GASCAR race. Ford then had a issue with Bad and was slowed up more than once. Viking then went wide going into Turn 1 and gave up second allowing Top be the lead chaser of Ford. Going into Turn 2 Top then went wide giving back second to Viking, just for Viking to give it back again in Turn 1 of the next lap. With 2 laps to go Top took the lead from Ford in a surprisingly uneventful pass and kept the lead for the remainder of the race and won his second race in a row at Suzuka and taking a commanding lead in the points standings.

The final finishing order:
1st Top* (10)
2nd Ford* (8)
3rd Viking* (7)
4th Roadie* (6)
5th Mini (4)
6th Super (3)
7th Proof (2)
8th Bad (1)

Road Atlanta

GASCAR returned after an extended holiday break Friday night and everything returned to normal. Ford running in the back, Top lagging everywhere and messing stuff up. Nearly everyone changed cars over the break and Ford even managed to somehow change after the race began, giving up on his Pontiac after the 2 lap lagfest from Roadie and Top. On the second attempt, Top repeating his getaway from the field with the ridiculously (I spelled that right on my first attempt) fast Charger that will be garbage on any track without 2 miles of straights. With 2 laps to go, Viking was chasing down Mini who also had a shot at Super. Going down the backstraight, Mini got around the lap car of Proof as he slide off the track under braking and in the Chicane bit Proof returned to the track in Viking's door stopping an interesting battle for 4th. Besides that, it was a relatively quiet race.

The finishing order was with points in parentheses:
1st - Top Fuel (10)*
2nd - Roadie (7)
3rd - Super Demon (7)*
4th - Mini (5)
5th - Viking (4)
6th - Ford (3)
7th - Proof (2)
8th - Bad (1)
