Fall 2013 GASCAR B Class Series Specs and Rules

Rules

1. The ban hammer can come out for any car that has been deemed too much faster than the others. The owner will not lose points nor will a car change be put against the team.
2. Dibs are in effect. Notify MiniAndretti, TopFuelMan, and Fordv2 when selecting a car.
3. Each team(no more than 2 drivers) will receive one two free car change after the season starts. Subsequent changes will result in a 5 2 point penalty assessed to the driver(s).
4. Each race will have a qualifying session immediately preceding the race.
5. The oval races will be run with spec cars the Lotus T124 for Oval 1 and an Australian V8 Super Car(Ford or Holden) for Oval 2.
6. All cars will run a GASCAR logo on their vehicle. TopFuelMan will furnish the vinyl.
7. Rules can be changed as GASCAR "executive" committee sees fit.

Specs

• B Class 500 PI Max.
• Drag Tires
• 300 hp maximum
• Car weight > 2800 pounds
• Car type is a coupe.
• No roadsters
• All cars must be capable of running a minimum of 485.
• You must pick from THIS LIST!
• If there is a car not on the list you would like to race, notify the people above. Your request will be considered. Update: If weight must be added to the car to fit the specifications, the car will not be allowed.

PI Restrictions and Points

• 1st place in points 485
• 2nd place in points 490
• 3rd place in points 495
• Any win from 1st place in points will result in -5% power for the rest of the season. 
• Leading a lap = 1 championship point
• Points will awarded as follows: 1st place 24, 2nd 21, 3rd 18, 4th 16, 5th 14, 6th 12, 7th 10, 8th 8, 9th 6, 10th 4, 11th & 12th 3, 13th & 14th 2, 15th & 16th 1.
• Anyone missing a race will be awarded 8 points for their first missed race. One point thereafter.
