  1. What a boring race!

That's what the fans left the stands saying. It was shades of most F1 races or a NASCAR race at Michigan International Speedway.

SuperDemonCow used his P1 starting position to jump ahead of what little fray there was at the start to build a bit of a lead. Mini pulled away from the pack initially in second but Viking's superior top speed was too much and he drove around Mini halfway through the first lap. Mini blundered at the bottom of the mountain letting Super and Viking slip away and bunching up the rest of the field.

DJ, TopFuelMan and Mini then staged the most interesting battle of an otherwise boring race for about 3 of the 15 laps. DJ's "Stock" RX-7 was blazingly fast on the straights allowing him to pull around Mini for third but it was ill handling and Mini was able to catch back up or pass him back a couple of different times. TopFuel, with RagnarockProof nipping at his heels, was getting very frustrated looking for a way by either. Mini slipped away momentarily as Top and DJ battle but then scraped a guardrail causing a momentum loss. That was all the other two needed and was the last time Mini saw another car for a while.

There was some position swapping due to pit stops but otherwise there were very few on track passes for the lead and Super won this caution free race(Yes it can happen in GASCAR!) comfortably.

Notice Ford has not been mentioned. His car was clearly dragging something as he was never a factor and finished seventh. Proof has his usual solo incidents. Vinny had a strong car but the lack of cautions hurt him.

Going into the season finale at Mugello, Ford has sacrificed his points lead to Viking and it is really a three horse race including Super. Everyone else will have a "If you ain't first your last!" mentality.

    Keys to the next race:
    Ford finding some horsepower.
    Super staying away from Proof.
    Viking getting away from Ford.
The rest of the field screaming "Banzai!" while trying to make passes for one last chance at the top step of the podium this season.
